Last night the American Music Awards were on. One of the best part of the American Music Awards is that they have tons and tons of live performances. The worst part about the 2009 American Music Awards is that a lot of those live performances weren’t good. Taylor Swift won a lot of awards, too bad she wasn’t there to receive them in person. Beyonce didn’t show up either. I think that if I knew I was going to be winning an award, I would be there. No matter what. Taylor Swift was doing a tour in London, but I’m sure she knew pretty far in advance that she was nominated for the award, and after the MTV Music Awards she should have known that she had a pretty good chance of winning some. She should have arranged her tour to where she could come back and accept them in person. Most of the performances were embarrassing and not even worth taking the time to watch, so if that’s what you usually watch the America Music Awards for then it was a disappointment. Lady Ga Ga did her usual odd performance, Rihanna was dressed bad, Alicia Keys was lip syncing, and Jennifer Lopez fell on her ass. I took the time to find a clip of her performance so you could see if for yourself just in case you didn’t waste all your time last night watching the show. Here’s the good parts, just skip ahead to 2:40 if you don’t want to even waste the two minutes to get to the important moment of her performance.
