Last summer when we went to Las Vegas, I didn’t have a whole lot of play around money for the trip. I had set aside a bit for shopping, a bit for gambling, and some for souvenirs for all my friends. I flew in from Lubbock and met with my mom and my brother, and then my dad flew in and we stayed in Las Vegas for a few days before heading out to California. Just those few days I made some money on the craps tables, so I felt a lot better about getting to shop and have some more fun when we came back to Las Vegas after being in California for a week. Well, we got back and my mom surprised me with rooms at the Wynn, since it was my favorite hotel. While we were in there, I decided to sit down at a Monopoly slot machine, where I ended up winning around $1,500 dollars. I was freaking out, and had my member card in the holder, so they knew it was me that won. Now, I’ve been getting tons of offers through email and just found more that they had sent to my house to try and get me to come back and stay at their casino. They are offering really good rates, and come credit to play more on their slots. Now, I’m pretty sure they are just mad that I took money from them and they are trying to find a way to get it back from me. I’m not going to fall for it! I know that if I use that credit under my name there’s no way I am going to hit big again like I did. So, thanks for the bonus, Wynn, but I don’t think I’ll be gambling much at your expensive casino in the future!

The last time we went to Las Vegas, my mom decided to surprise me and stay at my favorite hotel and casino, The Wynn. We always stay at the same casinos when we go, and this one had always been my favorite to go to and look around. It was a lot of fun to actually have a room there, they are beautiful rooms with an entire wall that is a window so you can see out onto the strip. Our view was of the Wynn golf course and part of the strip. The room was really cool, very nice and pretty. We only stayed there two nights, so I’m sure we didn’t get to see everything we could, but my brother and I made our way down to the pool one afternoon and wandered around. We found that they had a few different pool areas, and the 21 and up one was actually a pool where the girls could tan topless. We ended up hanging out at the pool for a bit, when I got up to get us a drink to find they were over fourteen dollars a piece. So, I got us each one, went and sat back down, and hung out for a bit. The next day when we moved back to our regular casino I was actually relieved. I didn’t much care for swimming around with naked girls, most of the tables had ridiculous minimums that made it not fun to gamble, and I don’t like spending the amount of money I could buy a cheap handle of vodka for on one drink. It was really pretty though and I loved it, but I don’t see our family going back there again to stay.

A vacation spot my family frequents is a little town called Las Vegas, Nevada. We go there every year, meet up with all the family we have that lives in California and hang out for a week or so. I have been 21 for only two of these vacations, and I have to say it’s tons better that way. We’ve been doing this for years, I think the first time I went I was 6, but these last two have been insane. I have always been obsessed with playing cards, and now I was able to do it and make money. I love craps, poker, black jack, pretty much everything Vegas has to offer. My mom and I love to find the best slot machines and put money into them, we love the ones that have extra games in them so you can play more. The first time I went and was of legal age, I won a bit of money, all of it being on the craps table. This past time, we found these really fun machines that were Monopoly themed. We played them a few times, but one time when I was at The Wynn I actually won over a thousand dollars on the machine. It was awesome. Then, we went into the Sahara and found the same games, sat down and I won 500 bucks on it. They are fun, lots of different games to play on them, and really cool. The displays are really cool and have tons of strange graphics and noise. But, I guess I’ll have to say the best part was the money coming out at the end part for me.

One of my favorite things to do since I was little was go to amusement parks and ride roller coasters. I have always been up for finding the biggest and fastest ones out there. We travel a lot, so I’ve had a lot of opportunities to find them. I have been on the biggest wooden roller coaster ever, and this past summer we went to the Guiness Book’s fastest and tallest roller coaster ever, as of 2006. It was on the Nevada and California border at a casino. That was probably the most intense ones that I have ever been on, enough to where I almost got sick. My brother and I rode it together, and both of us thought it was the scariest one we had ever been on. I’ve been on all the ones at six flags, and just about everyone that is on the strip in Las Vegas. I would suggest to anyone traveling to Las Vegas that likes roller coasters to make it an entire day to just move down the strip and ride all the roller coasters in the casinos. The one at the New York, New York, is really tall and fast, and goes into the casino at one point. At the Stratosphere, you’re put over a thousand feet in the air on some of their rides because of how tall the Stratosphere is to begin with. I have a strange fear of heights, but I’ve rarely been too scared of if when I’m on a roller coaster. It’s a big thrill for me, and I’ll try anything once no matter how scary it seems to me at the time.
