Old vs New

- Author: Greg Friendship

The biggest problem in the world today is that no one trusts another person. Unfortunately the population cannot depend on a man’s word like they could years ago. In the old days a man could tell someone that something is going to be done and shake on it and that was a binding contract between two people. I began to ask myself do you even tell someone you will do something for them or do you just do it? I have not figured out in today’s society which one is better. On one hand the other person knows what to expect from you but do they really trust what you say? Then you could always just do what you feel like you need to without telling the other person and then they are mad because they didn’t know about it. It is becoming a large problem and sometimes I am unaware of what to do in these situations. When you ask for advice from someone all they can tell you is that it is a hard decision to make and that you should make it yourself.  Seriously sometimes I don’t get it. I wish that I lived in the old days when only a man’s hand shake was what mattered and the women had no worries except the home life. It would make my life a lot easier than trying to choose what is best.

Gander Mountain

- Author: Greg Shopping

Gander Mountain is one of those stores that remind me of my dad. We can go into Gander Mountain, and he can get lost for hours and hours just looking at stuff. He does this with only a few places, those places have to have either guns, fishing stuff, knives, or home repair stuff. I love going to Gander Mountain because they have so much stuff in there to look at. It’s like the best place to go and look at different guns and one of the only places you can ever find certain ammo at. And their selection of fishing stuff is INSANE. I don’t even know what some of it is for. I like to just go in there with my dad and follow him around the store around Christmas time, because it makes shopping for him really easy with out him even knowing. He can talk about everything in that store, and anything you pick out he can tell you what it is, who made it, what it does, and if it’s good. It’s like he studies those outdoorsman magazines all day, because he knows EVERY thing there is to know about the stuff in there. When I go in there with out him, it’s just not the same trip. My mom and I like to go walk around and look at the girls stuff, and then we try to see who can guess where my dad is and find him the fastest. I can’t wait for a trip here soon, because I need to get him his Christmas present!
